John G. Wheeler,

Age 71 of Jackson Summit, PA passed away on June 5th, 2011 surrounded by his family. John was born June 21, 1939 a son of John and Murna Wheeler. He is survived by his loving wife, Judith Wheeler of 52 years, his children are John Wheeler (Special friend Kathy Richardson), Jeff (Lanett) Wheeler, and Jodi Wheeler(Special friend Dan Squires); grandchildren are Jamie Sue with fiancé Vincent Teribury, Seth, Megan, Jenelle and Lindsay, 1 Great Grandson, Lain Teribury. John is also survived by a sister, Delores Austin, brothers; Shirley Wheeler, LaDrue (Gladys) Wheeler; sister in law; Mary Wheeler along with several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He is predeceased by his parents John and Murna andbrother, Keith Wheeler. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Wednesday, June 8th, 2011 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM and again 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services honoring John's life will be held on Thursday, June 9th, 2011 at 11:00AM. The Reverend Douglas Hodge will officiate. Graveside services will follow in the Maple Ridge Cemetery in Jackson Summit, PA.John loved his family, sitting with the customers at Wheeler's Family Restaurant drinking coffee, telling stories but most of all working with his boys and his Angus cattle. He was the proud owner and operator of Wheeler's registered Holstein Dairy and Jug Milk plant in Jackson Summit for 15 years, then started Wheeler's Family Restaurant in 1988.He built Wheeler's Beverage and Liquor Store in 1999. John was the Town Constable for the Millerton Area along with being the Supervisor and Road Master for Jackson Township for many years.
