Joseph J. Schuler

Schuler, Joseph J. age 74 of Elmira, passed away December 24th, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Joe was the son of the late Charles and Rose Hoolihan Schuler. He was bornin Williamsport, PAApril 4th 1938. Surviving Joe is his wife Saundra; children Dianna Schuler of Elmira, Lorie (Robert) VanKeuren of Elmira, Brian (Tracey) Schuler of Horseheads; Grandchildren: Orenda, Joe III, Elaina, Lindsay, Brian Jr, Joely, Bobby, and 6 great grandchildren; Brothers: Ronald, Robert, Eugene; Sisters: Shirley, and Mary. Joe was predeceased by his son: Joseph Jr. and brother Charles. Joe was a dedicated family man with a strong work ethic that he instilled in his family. He was self employed working in the HVAC business for over 50 years, helping many families and businesses throughout the area. He most enjoyed his time with family, hunting, fishing, and camping. He was an avid sports fan who loved NASCAR and following the New York Yankees, and Dallas Cowboys. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Friday, December 28th, 2012 1:00PM to 3:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM. Funeral services will be held there Saturday, December 29th, 2012 at 9:30AM. Graveside services will follow in the St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Elmira.
