Joseph F. Scott

Age 73 of Gillett, PA passed away on Friday, March 10, 2006 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY.He is survived by his wife, Laurel A. Scott; children, Lorene (Anthony) Caroleo, Joseph (Kathy) Scott Jr., Denise (Daniel) Wintermute, Robert (Evelyn) Scott, Frank (Helen King) Scott, Thomas (Beatrice Koch) Scott, and Daphne (James) Johnston; 31 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; sister, Joan (Frank) Gurrera and several nieces and nephews. His first wife, Margaret A. Scott in 1984, predeceased Joseph. He was a retired New York City Police Officer. A United States Army Veteran having served with the 187th Airborne in Korea. But most important of all he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. In his spare time he enjoyed nature and he kept himself busy with the animals that he raised and cared for.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira on Wednesday, March 15, 2006 from 1:00 to 3:30 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there at 3:00 PM.Deacon George Welch officiating.
