POLOVICK, Joyce Helen (Terwilliger)Of Elmira Heights, NYPassed away peacefully, late Sunday, March 30, 2008 at her son and daughter-in-laws home following a courageous battle with lung cancer at the age of 79. Her loving husband of 46 years, George Matthew Polovick and their infant daughter, Christine Polovick, sister, Barbara Lucarelli, brothers, William and Robert Terwilliger predeceased her. She is survived by her beloved children, Daniel (Marie) Polovick of Elmira, NY; Kathleen (Richard) Rouse of Lake Placid, FL; Marty (Rosemary) Polovick of Lockport, NY; Randy (Roberta) Polovick of South Bend, IN; 9 grandchildren: Denise (Jane) Polovick, Tammy (Jeff) Bennett, Patrick Polovick, Christine Abbey, Tara Polovick, Lisa Polovick, Elaina Polovick, Emily Polovick, Anna Polovick; 4 great grandchildren: Joshua Bennett, Justin Bennett, Melissa Bennett, Shannon Mortimer-Polovick; sister, Doris Rouse; brother, Gerald Terwilliger; along with several nieces and nephews. Joyce loved polka dancing, listening to classical music and was an avid reader. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of the family in the Woodlawn National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved George.
