Judith Mary Wheeler

Wheeler, Judith Mary, age 77 of Jackson Summit, PA, passed away at home surrounded by family on Monday, May 22nd, 2017. Judy was born in Elmira on June 11th, 1939; the daughter of the late Walter and Marguerite Ryan Bower. She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, John, on June 5th, 2011. She is survived by her children: John Wheeler, Jeff and Lanett Wheeler, Jodi Wheeler (Dan Squires), all of Millerton, PA; grandchildren: Jamie Sue Teribury, Seth (Emily) Wheeler, Megan Wheeler (Justin Earle), Jenelle Wheeler, Lindsey Squires; great grandchildren: Lain Teribury, Colton and Drew Wheeler, Oaklynn Earle; brothers and sisters: John Bower, Janet Bower Rose, Jeanne (Jim) Harvey, Joanne (Bob) Houpt. Judy was well known throughout the area for her outgoing, friendly personality. She valued her many friendships she made throughout the years as a nurse’s aide at St. Joseph’s Hospital, her ownership in Wheeler’s Dairy Bar, the Wheeler Family Restaurant, along with the Liquor and Beverage Stores.Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY on Thursday, May 25th, 2017 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM and again on Friday, May 26th from 11:00AM to 12:00PM. Funeral services celebrating Judy’s life will follow at 12:00PM. Private graveside services will be at the convenience of the family. Reverend Douglas Hodge will officiate.
