STURTON, Julia Elizabeth (Klopf) Formerly of Dundee Passed away on Saturday May 30, 2009 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, NY at the age of 89. Her beloved husband, Wally; daughter, Janice; brothers, George and Wilfred predeceased Julia.Sister, Helen Klopf; sister-in-laws, Florence and Doris Klopf; sons, Albert and Donald Sturton; daughter, Patricia (Nathaniel) Clark; grandchildren, Christina, Elizabeth, Mary, Andrew, and Timothy Teague; Traci and Michele Sturton; Jason, Christopher, Julia and Rebecca Clark survive her, along with many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Mrs. Sturton resided in Tyrone and was a member of the Tyrone Methodist Church. She was in the first graduating class of the Dundee Central School where her colored picture is displayed. Julia sold Avon until the day of her death, selling products for 50 years earning many awards. She enjoyed sharing her wisdom, feeding birds, gardening and her church family. Though she had limited resources, she often reclaimed items, fixed them, and gave them to the needy. She was the richest person one could ever have met if they had taken the time to "discover" her. A Memorial Service celebrating Julia's life will be held at the Tyrone Methodist Church 3647 Church Hill Road Tyrone, NY 14887 on June 13th at 2:15 PM with a luncheon to follow. Interment will take place privately in the Dundee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to her beloved church.
