Katharine Kast

KAST, Katharine(Town of Southport ResidentWas born February 2, 1928 in Gyore, Hungary the daughter of the late John and Katharina (Pickelhaupt) Rau, passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 79. Her beloved and devoted husband, Henry Kast predeceased her. She is survived by her loving children, daughter and son-in-law, Christa and Paul Campbell of Hilton, NY; son, John Kast of Elmira, NY; much adored granddaughter, Katrina Campbell of Hilton, NY; along with sister and brother-in-law, beloved cousins, special friends and neighbors. Katharine was a faithful member of the First United Church of Christ on Madison Avenue. The absolute love and light of her life was her precious granddaughter, Katrina. She will deeply missed by all. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY 14904 on Friday, December 7, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will be held there on Saturday, December 8th with the Reverend Jane Winters celebrating Katharines life. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved Henry.
