Kathleen Brennan Read

Age 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at the Glad Valley Nursing Center in Walkersville, MD. She was born February 11, 1925 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Edward and Bridget (Shaw) Brennan. She was predeceased by her loving husband, E. James Read September 14, 1992. She is survived by her beloved children: sons, E. James(Jeanne) Read of Frederick, MD; William R. Read of Canton, MA; daughter, Susan (Brian) Jones of New Hartford, CT; adored grandchildren, Jamie and Kristin Read of Frederick, MD; Christopher Jones of New Hartford, CT; niece, Mary Kay (Thomas) Freytag of Chatham, MA; great nephews, Kevin and Patrick Freytag also of Chatham, MA; sister-in-law, Constance (Y. S.) Su of Elmira, NY. Kathleen was born in Elmira, NY but also lived in Trumansburg, NY; Bethany, CT; Acton, MA; Chatham, MA; and most recently Frederick, MD. Services, celebrating her life, will be held privately and at the convenience of her family in St. Peter and Paul?s Cemetery, Elmira, NY. The Reverend Richard Farrell will officiate Kathleen?s services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY.
