Was born June 15, 1922 the daughter of the late Frank and Rae (Newman) Stevens, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 12, 2010 at Bethany Manor in Horseheads, NY at the age of 87. Her loving husband Curtis A. Bennett and beloved son David Bennett predeceased her. She is survived by her loving children; Judy (Phil) Humphrey, Bill (Jackie) Bennett, Gary (Janice) Bennett, Randy Bennett (Sharon Burch), Nancy (Al) Salemi, Sally (Alan) Keller, and Kathy (Steve) Pirozzolo; daughter-in-law, Mary Bennett; 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; cousin, Nancy (Cliff) Annis; sisters and brothers-in-law, Valera (Bob) Burnham, Jane Bennett, Ileana (Stan) Coole, Jake (Betty) Bennett and Carol Green; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Kay was a lifelong member ofTrinity Episcopal Church and faithful Sunday School Teacher for numerous years, a member of the Excelsior Chapter # 323 OES and worked as a dedicated Teachers Aide at Hendy Avenue School for many years. The Bennett Family will be receiving friends at Trinity Episcopal Church 304 North Main Street Elmira, NY on Saturday, April 24, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Memorial Service honoring Kay's life will follow with Reverend Robert Adkins celebrating. Interment will take place privately at the convenience of her family in the Woodlawn Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband and son. The family will provide their own flowers.
