Age 64 of Wellsburg, NY, peacefully went to be with our Lord after a courageous battle with diabetes this Friday, February 18, 2005, surrounded by her loving family and her little buddy, "Jet." Kay is survived by her loving husband, John, who shared 44 years of life and love together.She is also survived by her sons, John (Cindi) of South Bend, IN, Patrick (Sandra) of Dansville, NY; daughter, Stacey of Millport, NY; sister, Patricia Donahue; two brothers and sister-in-law, John, Bud and Barb Mashanic; nine grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and loving friends.She graduated from Southside High School in 1959, retired from General Electric after 15 years of service in 1983 and retired from P&C in Dansville, NY in 1991.A member of St. Mary's Church Southside, Kay had a passion for horses and spent most of her healthy life at her farm doing what she enjoyed most.Arts and crafts and shopping were her other passions.Family and friends are invited to Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with Prayer Service following at 8 p.m. conducted by Father Rick Farrell of St. Mary's.Family will announce interment at a later date.In lieu of flowers, contributions may be donated to the following charities that personally touched her family, Diabetes, Cystic Fibrosis, or Muscular Dystrophy.Those wishing may leave a ?Candle of Remembrance? for the family in Obituaries at www.olthof.com.
