Kenneth R. Schill

April 24, 1933 — November 8, 2009

Was born April 24, 1933 in Burlington, PA the son of the late LaVerne and Gladys (Waldron) Schill, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2009 at St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 76. His sister, Marie Fulda and special grandmother, Fanny Waldron predeceased him. He is survived by his cherished wife, Docia (McCall) with whom he has spent 54 wonderful years of life and love; beloved children, Lisa Wise of Newark Valley, NY; Jenifer (Scott) Morgan of Rome, NY; Jared (Michelle) Schill of Sicklerville, NJ; much-loved grandchildren, Jessica and Kristopher Wise; Anna, Zachary and Joshua Morgan; Melissa and Madison Schill; adored great grandson, James Peterson III; brother, Earnest (Karen) Schill of Burlington, PA; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. In 1998, Kenneth retired from St. Joseph's Hospital as the supervisor of the Atrium Dinning Hall. For many years he was the production control supervisor at the former A & P Plant in Horseheads, NY. Kenneth and his beloved Docia have been involved in antique dealing for several years in the local communities. Kenneth was a Veteran of the US Air Force proudly serving his country. He was also a member of the Golden Glow of Christmas Past. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services honoring Kenneth will be held there on Thursday at 10:00 AM with Reverend Bill Vallet and Reverend Melanie Cole-Beardslee to officiate. Interment will follow in the Mountain Lake Cemetery in Burlington, PA. Memorial donations may be directed to The National Christmas Museum 3427 Lincoln Highway East Rte. # 30 Paradise, PA 17562 in his memory.
