L. Baldwin

Formerly of Balsam Street, was born February 12, 1918 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Arthur and Lottie (Mold) Weston.She passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital, at the age of 90. Her loving husband, Mahlon B. Baldwin Sr.,with whom she spent 54 wonderful years of life and love, preceded her in death, July 6, 1990. Her son, Mahlon B. Baldwin Jr. and daughter, Irene Frances Baldwin also predeceased her. Her survivors include: son, Lloyd Richard Baldwin of Elmira, NY; daughter, Janice (Gary) Walker also of Elmira, NY; 14 grandchildren, many great and great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Edward (Verna) Baldwin of Elmira, NY; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of people who simply knew her as "Gram". Genevieve was an avid and devoted Bingo player. She loved watching the Price Is Right with Bob Barker and walked everywhere she went. She had a tremendous love for her grandchildren and they all loved her dearly. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY on Tuesday, December 30, 2008 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. Funeral Services honoring her life will follow the visitation. (6 PM) Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn Cemetery privately at the convenience of her family. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Joseph's Hospital SNF, 555 East Market Street, Elmira, NY 14901.
