L. Simpson

Of Chicago, IL passed away on February 1, 2011. Dru was born May 6, 1922 in Ithaca, NY the only daughter of Charles and Leda (Stuart) Dickson. She married Francis A. Simpson on April 5, 1941, who preceded her in 1991. Fran and Dru resided 45 years at 821 Sycamore Street, Elmira, NY. Dru was Controller/ Office Manager of the former The Gorton Coy for 28 years; and was employed at Chemung Canal Trust Co. for eleven years retiring in 1983. Dru attended Watkins Glen School from 1927-37 and Elmira Southside High School graduating in 1939. Dru is survived by her beloved son, Donald Bruce and his wife Guadalupe (Rodriguez) of Chicago, IL, grandson, Michael John Simpson and great-grandson, Trevor Michael Simpson of Valencia, CA, step-grandsons, Michael Diano Hillig of New Orleans, LA and Matthew Glenn Hillig and his wife Korilin and children of Spring, TX. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Ruth Robyck of Elmira Heights, NY and Martha Dickson of Trumansburg, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, William H. and S. Stuart Dickson.
