Larry Edwin Cook

Larry E. Cook  Formerly of 422 Standish St.and Flannery Towers Apartments, Elmira, NY.Was welcomed home on Apriil  24th 2009 after a long illness at the age of 65.   Larry was born in Elmira, NY on February 6, 1944.  He is the son of the late Herbert M. Cook Sr. and Twila J. (Hart). He is survived by his wife Mary M. Cook, son Larry E. Cook Jr., and daughters Susie and Sonya Cook, grandson Joseph A. Cook, his sisters: Shirley (Ralph) Thomas, Sharon (Donnie) Ellis, and Brenda (Norm) Brinck, and brother Albert (Dorothy) Cook, and many nieces, nephews and cousins Larry was pre-deceased by his brother Herbert Jim (Barb) Cook, Jr., Nancy (Ron) Gates and Mary (Burdette) Hall. Larry was a painter by trade and lived his life his way. He enjoyed his family and friends and enjoyed playing cards and bingo. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY. Calling hours  Sunday April 26 2009  at 11:00 to 12:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there at the conclusion of the visitation. Interment will be near his mother and sisters at Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY.Â
