Lawrence R. Brusso

Was born June 6, 1918 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Gustave Wm. and Rose E. (Nervick) Brusso passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 peacefully at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 88. Lawrence is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 45 years, Wilda (Grace) Brusso; daughters, Anna Marie Brusso of Geneva, NY; Mary (Charles) Dunham of Mesa, AZ; Donna (Tim) Erikson of Elmira, NY; with their children, Brittany Cardamone and Landon Erickson; Tammy (Rich) Klatt of Boxboro, MA; with their children, Derek and Justin Klatt; step-children, Karen (John) Winkel of Hartsdale, NY; Jan (Mike) Norton of Elmira, NY; Randy Seymour of Elmira, NY; brothers, Harold (Lena) Brusso, Delbert (Ida) Brusso and Gustave Gus (Pat) Brusso all of Elmira, NY; along with several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Lawrence was a devout National League baseball fan, dedicated 100% to the New York Mets. He was an avid hunter and a former member of St. Johns Society. He was a Veteran of the US Army proudly serving his country from 1942 to 1945 during WW II stationed in Italy. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Friday, December 29, 2006 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Services honoring his life will be held there following the visitation. (7 PM) The Reverend Walter Wainwright will celebrate Lawrences life. The Chemung County Military Honors Squad will accord Mr. Brusso full Military Honors on Saturday, December 30, 2006 at 10:00 AM in St. Peter & Pauls Cemetery (Mount Zoar entrance).
