Passed away peacefully in his sleep with loving wife of 62 years, Sophie by his side September 2, 2005,Born in Troy, PA April 23, 1922 to Lee S. and Carrie P. Peters. His parents, Sisters, Grace Bly, Lena Kennedy and brother, John Peters, preceded him in death. Lee is survived by his wife, Sophie Peters, children, Sharon (Jim) Emmick, Ronald (Vivian) Peters, Michael (Stephanie) Peters, Janet (David) Tuma, and Jane (Jeffery) Jack, grandchildren, Melissa (Chad) Hackmann, Katherine and Brian Peters, Michael, Steven and Joshua (Corey) Peters, Carrie (Markedis) Williams, David, Lee (Joanna) and Christopher Tuma, Karl Lewis, Mandy and Jeffery Jack. Seven great grandchildren, sister Nellie Eilenberger, sister in-law Helen (Doug) Wilson, brother in-law, Adolph Sandberg and many nieces and nephews.Lee survived polio as a young boy and with massive determination achieved his dream of owning and operating his own business. He owned, operated and built Vasco Brands from a small janitorial company into a major regional distributor. He was a self-made man, who loved going to work everyday. Lee felt he was a fortunate man who was blessed with family and simple pleasures in life like riding his bicycle. Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. on Tuesday September 6, 2005 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM followed by a funeral service there at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place at St. Peter & Paul?s Cemetery on Wednesday September 7, at 10:30 AM.
