Leon O. Sheets

Was born July 17, 1930 in Muncy, PA the son of the late Owen and Hazel Sheets passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, November 27, 2009 at the age of 79. His sisters, Rachel (Joe) Hunter, Gladys (Lawrence) Shaw and Marie (Richard) Purvis also predeceased him. Leon is survived by his beloved children, Linda Getz of Denver, CO; Edward (Gale) Sheets, Suzanne Christian, Sherri Sheets, Penny (Alvin) Roberts, Sandy Coleman, Victoria (William) Payne, Paula Durgin and Brenda Sheets all of Elmira, NY; brother, Richard (Donna) Sheets of Cocoa, FL; Doris Stone and Shirley Rarick both of Troy, PA; along with 20 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. In 1990, Leon retired from Schweizer Aircraft Corp. after 28 years of dedicated service. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. At his request there will be no be prior services.
