Hadley, Leona I.Age 90 of Reynolds Street, Elmira, NY. Passed away Tuesday, February 5th, 2008 at Elderwood Nursing Facility in Waverly, NY. Leona was born in Candor, NY, November 12th, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Reuben and Hazel Stevens. Her husband Philip D. Hadley predeceased her in 1995. Leona is survived by her loving children, Gail (Ronald) Cotanch of Zephyrhills, FL, Constance Berry of Pine City, NY, Philip (Jacqueline) Hadley of San Marcos, CA, and Jim Hadley of Elmira, NY; Loving grandchildren that she adored Lori (Robert) Sandoz, Mathew (Summer) Berry, Kristen (William) VanSchoick, Andrew Hadley; Great grandchildren: Cole, Luke, Sienna, Jake, Nolan, Gunner, Jackson, Owen, Leona; Sisters: Dorothy Bonning of Waverly, NY, Ruth (Paul) Brown of Pine City, NY, Shirley Root of Elmira, NY. Several nieces and nephews; Sister-in-law: Carolyn Stevens of Horseheads, NY. In addition to her husband and parents, Leona is also predeceased by her sisters Mildred Dutrow, Marion Hayduk, Iva Narosky; Brother: Lewis Stevens; and Daughter-in-law: Beth Hadley. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, February 7th, 2008 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will follow the calling hours at 8:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at the Woodlawn Cemetery at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 8th, 2008. Lay Pastor John Knapp will officiate. Leona loved the comfort of her home. She was proud to be a homemaker. She enjoyed her family as much as she could. She was an excellent cook, and loved to knit, sew, and crochet. The love in her life was her grandchildren and great grandchildren spending as much time with them as possible. Those wishing may make memorials in Leona I. Hadleys name to the charity of ones choice.
