Leonard J. Fiorito

Was born March 19, 1921 in LeRoy, NY the son of the late Isadore and Anna (Dreher) Fiorito, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospital Elmira, NY at the age of 85. Leonard married Sarah Record July 16, 1949 at St. Patricks Church in Elmira. They have enjoyed 57 wonderful years of love and life together. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary Feary of Batavia, NY; Margaret Bradley of Livonia, NY; along with 7 nieces and 3 nephews. His sister, Catherine Amidon predeceased him. Leonard retired from the General Electric Company as a mechanical engineer. He was a World War II Veteran proudly serving his country from 19431945 in the 8th Air Force Division as a Fighter Pilot. At his request there will be no prior calling hours. A Graveside Ceremony with Military Honors will be held in the Woodlawn National Cemetery at a time and date to be announced in the spring.
