Passed away on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Schuyler Hospital in Montour Falls, NY, after an extended illness. He was 77. Leonard was born May 5, 1934 in Dickson City, PA, the son of the late Lewis and Adeline (known as Ida) (Soliwada) Lysak. Leonard was a veteran of the U.S. Army, proudly serving his country from 1956 to 1958. He owned and operated his own company, building many custom homes in the Horseheads/Big Flats area over several years. He is survived by his loving companion, Sandra Parmeter; beloved children: son and daughter-in-law Leonard and Suzanne Lysak Jr.; daughter and son-in-law Cathy and William Beerman; son Lewis Lysak; son Daniel Lysak; and daughter and son-in-law Donna Lysak and Dan Salamida; eight grandchildren: grandson Timothy and wife Jennifer Lysak, Heather Lysak, Catherine Beerman, Elizabeth Beerman, Ronald Lysak, Kristina Lysak, Tamara Lysak, and Ben Lysak; four great-grandchildren; and a special cousin, Marlene. At his request, there will be no prior calling hours or services. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira/Southport, NY.
