Leota W. Dibucci

Leota Gearhart DiBucciAge 94, passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014 at the Elcor Health Services in Horseheads,NY. She was born in Hollsopple, PA the daughter of the late William and Lura (Skelley) Gearhart. Her husband, Jack; son, Tom; 2 grandchildren; 8 brothers and sisters preceded her in death. She is survived by grandchildren, Don DiBucci and several great grandchildren; nieces, Laurie Gearhart, Susan Gearhart, Lynda (Ralph) Champlin and Judy Hall; nephews, Jim Gearhart and Mike (Sandra) Gearhart, Clifford & Roxanne Williams; along with several great nieces and great nephews, including: Brandi Shireman and Breanna Harrison; great great nieces and nephews and great great great nephews; former sister-in-law, Betty Gearhart; good friends, Trudy, Mike and Corrine. Leota was a lovingmother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She had a wonderful sense of humor, was an excellent cook and her home on Milton Street was the center for all memorable gatherings, great meals, good stories and a place where life-long friendships were formed. Leota retired from Danny Discount. She was a communicant of the Oakwood United Methodist Church. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 1 PM. Reverend Syd McCrorey will officiate. Interment will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
