Age 83,passed away Monday, August 26, 2013.She is survived by her children, RichardYork Jr., Debbie (Dan) Miller, John (Lisa) York; grandchildren, Teri York-Brown, Danielle Miller-Cervantes (Steve), Brett York (Tiffany Teal) Jenna (Brandon) Girardi, Jarid York, Kasi Sanders, Alex Sanders; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brown, Gavin and Owen Girardi, Macailyn York; brother, John (Dorothy) Ames, sisters-in-law, Marjorie Ames, Sharon Ames, Marlene Whitson; brothers-in-law Robert Darrow, Bird (Barbara) York; cousins June and David Pierson; special friend Jenny Kelly and her family; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by husband Richard York Sr., daughter, Teresa York; son, William Roger York; parents William and Lillian Ames; sisters, Margaret Swithers, Marcella Pettie, Elinor Ames; brothers, William Ames,Phillip Ames, Douglas Ames; daughter-in-law JoAnn York. She retired after 18 years of service from the A & P plant as a Candy Maker. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 P{Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Thursday, August 29, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 7 PM. The Reverend William Vallet will celebrate Lillian's service. Interment will take place at the convenience of her family in Maple Grove Cemetery Horseheads, NY.
