Age 84 of Pennsylvania Ave. Pine City, NY was born March 16, 1920 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Agard and Altia (Clay) Lott. Her gentle heart stopped beating on Monday, February 28, 2005 at her home surrounded by her loving and caring family. Her beloved sister, Mary Ethel Lott, predeceased Lois.She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, L. Duane Andrews, much-loved sons and daughter-in-laws, David and Therese Andrews of Elmira, NY; Daniel and Cathie Andrews of Pine City, NY; adoring grandchildren, Jeffrey and Jeremy Andrews of Elmira, NY; Christopher Andrews of Pine City, NY; brother-in-law, G. Raymond (Alixe) Andrews of Pine City, NY; sister-in-law, Eloise Gage of Reading Center, NY; along with several nieces and nephews. Lois was a graduate of Southside High School and furthered her education with the Elmira Business Institute. She retired from American Bridge as a secretary. Mrs. Andrews was a former member of the Southside Baptist Church. A long-time member of the Pine City Baptist Church, she belonged to the Fellowship Club at the church and also was the bulletin typist for 20 + years. She was a member of the Mary Martha Guild and was a past member of the Pine City Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Lois will be remembered as a wonderful homemaker as her cooking and baking gave testimony to that very fact. She enjoyed caring for her home and loved her flowers. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Thursday, March 3, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. Funeral services celebrating Lois?s life will be held there following the visitation. (8:00 PM) Her pastor and friend the Reverend Horace Stoddard will officiate. Interment will take place privately in the Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
