Lois B. Griff

Was born July 19, 1917 in Nunda, NY the daughter of the late Norman and Blanch (Harris) McKay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at St. Joseph's Hospital at the age of 95. Her loving husband of 52 years, George H. Griff predeceased her July 15, 1992. She was also preceded in death by her in-laws, Joseph and Mary Griff, John and Mildred Griff, Margaret and Leo Luke, Mary and Roger Wheeler and Gertrude and Alfred Honan. She is survived by special nieces and caregivers, Kathy Dennison and Roxanne Sullivan, as well as several other nieces and nephews. Lois retired from Ray Jewelers after many years of dedicated service as their bookkeeper. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Sunday, September 9, 2012 from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. Funeral services honoring her life will follow the visitation at 5 PM. Lay Pastor John P. Knapp will officiate. Interment will take place in the Woodlawn National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her beloved George at the convenience of the family.
