Lois H. Lynch

Lois H. Lynch Was born June 21, 1932 in Tioga, PA the daughter of the late David Henry and Mildred (Carleton) Hymes, she passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at her home at the age of 84. Her loving husband Robert, sister Mary Lou Hymes and son-in-law John Pfeifer preceded her in death. Lois is survived by her beloved children: Robert I. (Cathy) Lynch Jr. of Yorktown Heights, NY; Kathy Lynch of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren: Amber, Emmett and Sarah Pfeifer; sister: Crystal (Edward) Jones; nieces: Tonya Jones, Brenda Jones Moffett and Donna Jones Cornell; great nieces: Brianna and Emma Moffett; great nephew: Devin Cornell. Lois was a Registered Nurse at Arnot Ogden Medical Center retiring after 40 years of dedicated service. Lois was such a lovely, warm, funny and feisty lady. Her friends and family knew they could always count on her to take care of them any time. After retirement Lois and Bob "hit the road" in their RV and thoroughly enjoyed many happy adventures around the United States. Lois loved nature and spent over 10 years camping at Cayuta Lake. Her family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to Lois's many friends and neighbors in Elmira and at the lake for their love, friendship and support. Lois will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered. In accordance with Lois's wishes private services will take place in the Woodlawn National Cemetery at a later date and time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the Chemung County Humane Society and SPCA 2435 Route # 352 Elmira, NY 14903 in her memory.
