Age 77,Of Elmira, NY, went to be with the Lord on Saturday September 11, 2010 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center.He is survived by his children, Lynnette (Joe) Balch, Lois (Brian) Bockus, Lisa (Rick) Walker, and Leah (Travis) Birdsall; also 10 grand children6 Great Grandchildren, and one expected grandchild; sister, Doris Krake; brother in-law, Rev. Donald Keller; sister in-law, Connie (Jeff) Clay, 7 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife; Florence,son; Lynn Jr, daughter; Linda, parents; Dae and Sara Waltman, brother; Cedric, sister in-law; Ellen Keller and brother in-law; Wes Krake.Lynn wasa retiredChemung County Sheriff's Deputy, and a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War. He was also a life member of theElmira Wesleyan Church, a retired member of the Machinist Union, a Boy Scout Leader,an avid bowler and Golfer, member of the Elmira Bowlers Hall of Fame and an all around sportsman. Lynn also worked at Chemung Canal Trust Company, Elmira, NY.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc.1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport onTuesday September. 14, 2010 from.1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Funeral Service Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the Elmira Wesleyan Church,1100 South Main Street, Elmira, NY followed by Graveside Service at Woodlawn Cemetery with full Military Honors. Those wishing may make memorials donations to the Elmira Wesleyan Church,1100 South Main St. Elmira, NY 14904 in Lynn's name. A.
