M. Robert CollsonWas born September 26, 1923 in Elmira, NY the son of the late Merle D. and Beatrice (Albrecht) Collson, passed away peacefully on Friday, June6, 2014 at the age of 90. His loving wife of 63 years, Viola W. Collson preceded him in death April 30, 2013. His sister, Wanda Lockner, sister-in-law, Helen Collson and brother-in-law, Robert Lockner also predeceased him. He is survived by his children: daughter, Patricia (Pete) Homerda of Elmira, NY; sons, Jack (Colleen) Collson of Pine City, NY; Gary Collson of Elmira, NY; grandsons: Scott Homerda, Mathew Collson and Noah Collson all of Elmira, NY; Zachariah Collson of Arizona; granddaughter: Rianne Collson of Canandaigua, NY; great grandson: Hunter Homerda of Elmira, NY: brother: Francis Collson of Matlacha, FL; along with several nieces and nephews. Bob was a Veteran of the US Army proudly serving his country during WW II. He was a former employee of the Sperry-Hutchison Company and then sold the famous Charles Chips in the Elmira area for many years. Bob and Vi, along with their family enjoyed the many memories of spending over 40 years at Keuka Lake. He was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching them in his favorite chair, cheering on "his boys". Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Graveside services will take place on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Woodlawn Cemetery 1200 Davis Street Elmira, NY where Bob will be laid to rest with his beloved Vi. Lay Pastor John P.
