Manford "Bud" Besanceney

Age 94, a resident of Orchard Glen in Orchard Park, New York, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2013. He was born April 21, 1919, in Blossburg, Pennsylvania, the son of Walter and Alice (Lindie) Besanceney. Beloved husband of the late Barbara Besanceney, Manford is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Robert and Susan Besanceney of Orchard Park, New York; two granddaughters, Laura (Timothy) Magee of East Aurora, New York and Christen (James) Webler of Mamaroneck, New York; and two great grandsons, Jerry Webler and Brennan Webler of Mamaroneck, New York. Manford was predeceased by his wife and daughter, Barbara (Babs) Besanceney. A World War II veteran, he married and lived in Elmira, New York. After retiring from a long career with Corning Glass, Manford spent his time with his family and friends. After the death of his wife in 2000, he moved to Orchard Park where his son lived. He loved golf, the New York Yankees, making woodcraft holiday decorations for family and friends and his many summers spent at Keuka Lake. Flowers are gratefully declined. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to either the Arthritis Foundation or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).
