Margaret B. Hoobler

Formerly of Corning, NY, age 91, of Leasburg, NC, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 29, 2009. Margaret was the daughter of the late Michael and Rena (Starr) Burgey and was born in Rochester, NY. She attended the Danville School of Nursing and was a retired employee of the Roman Eagle Nursing Home in Danville, Virginia. Her husband, Richard Makin Hoobler, her son, Richard Michael Hoobler and 1 great grandchild, preceded her in death. Surviving are her son, Frank D. Hoobler and his wife, Cheryl; her 4 daughters: Joyce Janowsky and her husband, Edward; Linda Davis and her husband, Ross; Kathy Hoff and her husband, Jim; Sandra O'Hara and her husband, Ray; 1 daughter-in-law, Betty Hoobler.Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, several nieces, nephews and other family members.Family and friends are invited to attend Graveside Services on Friday, April 24, 2009 at 2 PM in St. Mary's Cemetery, Park Ave., Corning, NY to celebrate Margaret's life. A priest from All Saints Parish will conduct the prayers at the grave. The family will provide their own flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Margaret's memory may be directed to the Chemung ARC, 711 Sullivan Street, Elmira, NY 14901 or to a charity of one's choice in her memory.
