Margaret E. Makres

Age 94 of Elmira, NY passed away on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at Tioga Nursing Facility. She was born in Morris Run, PA on September 15, 1912 the daughter of the late Charles F. & Olive Boyd Williams. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Donna (Robert) McConnell; special grandchildren, Susan Makres Peet (Phil) of Casselberry, FL, Robert Makres (Holly) of Newport Richey, FL, step-grandchild, Brian McConnell (Amy); 3 wonderful great grandchildren, Zack & Amanda Makres and Benjamin McConnell. She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Makres, son, Thomas F. Makres, sisters, Janet Warner and Betty Murphy. Honoring her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A Memorial Graveside Service will be on Friday, May 11, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira, NY. Memorial donations in Margarets name may be made to the American Red Cross, Steuben Chapter or Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA.
