Margaret Belle Sprague (Seymour)Age 81 , April 7, 2013. Margaret was born in Columbia Crossroads, PA one of thirteen children to Norman and Daisy (Pettingill) Seymour. Predeceased by husband Melvin L. Sprague, Jr., son Melvin L. Sprague III, siblings, Richard, Earl, JoAnn, Russell and Ermal. Margaret is survived by son, David L. (Vicki) Sprague; daughters, Terry M. Sprague, Ginger A. Sprague, and Christine T.L. (Robert) Leonard Sr.; sisters, Betty Andrus of UT, Gladys & Tom McLean of Waverly, NY, Mary Jane Butz of FL, Joyce & Robert Ripley of Pine City, NY, Daisy & Anthony Lutomski of Elmira, NY; brothers, Norman R. Seymour of Elmira, NY, Jack & Marlene Seymour of Dryden, NY; along with several grand and great grandchildren. "Peggy" worked at Remington Rand, Moore Business Forms and as a Nurse Aide at St. Joseph's Hospital in her early years. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, she stayed home to raise her children. Active as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and Cinderella Softball. She returned to work as a Teacher's Aide at Fassett School and later at Broadway School, retiring from the Elmira City School District. She was a member of the American Legion Post # 154, active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, and a volunteer at the Clemens Center. She also sold Avon in the Elmira area. Overall and first of all, was her family. Margaret was loved by all she met throughout her life and will be missed by all. The family will receive friends at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport on Wednesday April 17, 2013 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with Funeral and Committal Service there at 8:00 PM , Lay Pastor John Knapp will celebrate Margaret's life.
