Marian Bradley WoodAge 92, was a longtime resident of Elmira, NY. Passed away at the Chemung County Nursing Facility on Thursday, April 10, 2008.She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Wood, her brother Donald Bradley,her sister Jeanette Valentine, and her brother E. Donald Bradley. Marian is survived by sister-in-law Elva Bradley of Mesa, AZ, niece, Sue (Glen) Shadoan of London, KY, nephews, Barry (Patricia) Bradley of Gillett, PA, Jim (Nell) Valentine of Lexington, KY, Donnie (Judy) Bradley of Pine City, NY, Brad (Lynne) Valentine of Santa Rosa, CA David Boggs of Fairfax, VA, cousins Betty Mosher of Concord, NC and Harlan Everett of Canandaigua NY, several grand nieces and nephews also dear friend Margot Magnusen of Elmira, NY.Marian was a graduate of Geneseo Normal School and Penn State University; she was a retired Teacher from the Elmira School District. She served in the United States Military as a WAC for three years and was a lifetime member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church of Elmira, NY. Marian was a volunteer at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center for over 25 years, with over 20,000 hours of service. It was Marians request that there be no calling hours, family and friends are invited to attend a Graveside Service at Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira on Friday April 25, 2008 at 1:00 PM.For the convenience of family and friends we will gather outside the Walnut Street Gate of Woodlawn Cemetery and process from theyre to the gravesite. In lieu of flowers those wishing may make memorials to the Arnot Ogden Auxiliary, C/O Arnot Ogden Medical Center, 600 Roe Avenue, Elmira, NY 14902 in Marians memory.
