Marilyn M. Ilg Was born February 22, 1923 in Elmira, the daughter of the late H. "Red" and Mabel (Sweet) Martin, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, December 29, 2016 at the age of 93. Her first husband, Ernest S. Doud; second husband, Charles P. Ilg; daughter, Carol Beth Doud; and sister, Annette (Robert) Zimmer also preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law: Lee M. "Rip" and Pamela Doud; granddaughters: Jennifer Doud (Judd) Nissen and Amy (Joseph) Winter; great grandsons: Ethan, Adam and Daniel Winter; nieces: Nancy Schullery and Jean McLellan; nephews: Bruce, James and John Doud. At her request there will be no services. Interment will take place at the convenience of her family. Marilyn had a keen interest in history and archeology, but her greatest gift was teaching by example the strength of family and to respect and love one another.
