Age 67 of Pine City, NY passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2013 from complications related to brain cancer. Marilyn was born on November 28, 1945 in Elmira, NY the daughter of the late Harold R. and Mary Sterling Farmer. Marilyn was a vibrant soul full of life and love for friends and family alike. She is survived by her husband: Kenneth R. Norman of Pine City, NY; her sons and daughters-in-law: Jason and Rainya Mosher of Helotes, TX; Scott and Beth Mosher of Ithaca, NY; her son: Matthew Mosher of Elmira, NY; her stepchildren: Kenneth R. Norman, II of Albany, NY; Melissa Norman of Abington, PA; and Kimberly Norman of Ft Washington, PA; 3 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren, all of whom she loved deeply; her brother and sister-in-law, George and Joan Farmer; 2 great-nieces; 2 great-great-nephews; numerous cousins; and honorary sons, daughters, and grandchildren: Thomas M. and Mary Booth Tebo and their two sons; David and Krysta Bernhardt and their two sons. Marilyn was known for her shop The Farmer's Daughter, her roadside stand selling vegetables and strawberries from the family garden, and was often helping around Farmer's Garden Center and Farmer's U-Pick Strawberries. She was a stranger to few from her various party plan businesses, most memorably Princess House crystal, as well as her involvement in the Pine City community. Many will fondly remember her homemade lollipop trees, crafts, her many flower arrangements, and gluten free baked goods in recent years. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the OLTHOF FUNERAL HOME,INC., 1050 PENNSYLVANIA AVE, ELMIRA, NY on Saturday, July 20, 2013 from 9 - 11 AM. Marilyn’s memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at OLTHOF FUNERAL HOME INC., 1050 PENNSYLVANIA AVE, ELMIRA, NY at 11 AM. The Family will provide their own flowers and those wishing to remember Marilyn may do so through the Chemung County Food Bank or the Salvation Army.Guestbook may be signed in obituaries at www.olthof.com.
