Marion E. Hoff

Elmira NY - Marion E. Hoff a long time resident of Elmira, and retired teacher of Nursing in the Corning Painted Post School District, died Friday March 12, 2010. Born in Chicago Illinois, Marion graduated from Northwestern Universty, was an Alumni of Evanston Illinois Hospital School of Nursing, and a member of AAUW. She served as Associate Director of Nursing at Arnot Ogden Memorial Hospital in Elmira. Marion is survived by her husband Paul Hoff. Son Glenn, and his wife Kathie both of Rochester NY, and their two sons Scott and Jon. Daughter Barbara and husband John Snyder who live in North Carolina. She has four grandchildren, Danielle, Kristine, Jessica, and Nicole Snyder.Active in the community, she enjoyed the arts and classical music serving as a volunteer Docent at the Rockwell Museum in Corning NY, was member of the Eastern Star, and served in many leadership roles at First Presbyterian Church in Elmira. Memorial gifts may be given in Marion's name to a charity of choice.Services will be held at Olthof Funeral home in Elmira NY from 2 - 4 PM on Monday March 15th, with a brief service following.
