Marlene McCarrick ChamplainAge 67 of Addison, NY passed away peacefully Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA, following an extended illness.Marlene was born July 7, 1948 in Corning, NY, the daughter of the late Andrew George McCarrick and Dorothy Louise Dailey.On October 26, 1991 she married Arnold Champlain at the First Baptist Church in Addison, NY. She was a graduate of Addison Central School. Over the years, she was employed by Community Bank, The Corning Leader, Corning Museum of Glass, and most recently, Deputy Clerk for the Village of Addison, retiring in 2014.In addition to her husband, Marlene is survived by her siblings, Maxine M. Randolph of Athens, PA; Dale L. (Helen) McCarrick of Newark Valley, NY; Gordon G. (Judy) McCarrick of Addison, NY; and Dwight E. (Linda) McCarrick of Caton, NY. Surviving also are her beloved nieces and nephews, Mark C. Fausak of Rome, PA; Eric T. (Dennis P. Roy) Randolph of Washington, DC; Nancy A. (Brian Bowen) Randolph of Rome, PA; Dawn M. McCarrick of Worcester, MA; Cheryl L. (James) Bieren of Groton, MA; Julie C. (Karen Lyke) McCarrick of Bath, NY; Jeffrey T. (Dia) McCarrick of Morganton, NC; Tiffany S. (Andy) Best of Prattsburg, NY; Kelly L. (Jeff) Goltry of Pine City, NY; Dana L. McCarrick of Corning, NY; and Dwight A. (Melissa) McCarrick of Corning, NY; great-nieces and -nephews, Marissa (John) Lockard, Kiersten and Laura Bieren; Amanda and Brianna Best; Nicholas and Mckenna Goltry; and brother-in-law, Alan Champlain of Addison, NY.She is predeceased by her parents; nephew, John Andrew McCarrick; and cherished uncle and aunts, Harry G. "Sonny" Dailey, Henrietta "Hank" Robinson and Gladys Wheaton.In keeping with her wishes, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family with interment at Elmwood Cemetery, Caton, NY. The family has entrusted her final care to Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., Elmira, NY. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to the Chemung County Humane Society & SPCA, 2435 Route 352, Elmira, NY 14903.
