April 30, 1955 — February 4, 2006

Age 50, passed away unexpectedly at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY on Saturday, February 4, 2006. Marlene is survived by her husband, Gary and would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary in April. Also surviving are her sons, Ryan of Elmira and Scott Cram at home; brother, Gary ?Bro? Durfee; sisters, Char (Tom) Galpin; Eileen (Mickey) McDonald; brother-in-law, Jim Schultz, Richie (Pam) Cram; mother-in-law, Dora Cram and father, Raymond Durfee; Marlene?s dear life-long friend, Jeri Anarumo; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and her ?kids? that she ?adopted? along the way. Marlene was predeceased by her loving mother, Charlotte Durfee; brother, Terry Durfee; sister, Arlene Schultz; father-in-law, Donald Cram; and nephew, Matthew White. She was employed by the Elmira City School District Bus Garage for 30 years and very proudly achieved her 19A Certification. Marlene was also involved in the CWA Union as a Union Steward. She was actively involved in her children?s lives including coaching baseball and softball, the Southside High School Wrestling Club, and the Jeff Reese Wrestling Tournament. Marlene enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with her family and extended family, and her trips to Rehoboth Beach. She made many friends through the years and their acts of kindness and support throughout her life will not be forgotten.A gathering of family and friends will be held at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Wednesday, February 8, 2006 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Celebration services honoring Marlene?s life will be held there on Thursday, February 9th at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place privately at the family?s convenience in the Woodlawn Cemetery.Flowers are gratefully accepted or memorial donations in the name of Marlene L. Cram may be directed to the Liver Transplant Program, 601 Elmwood Ave., Box SURG, Rochester, NY 14642. A ?Candle of Remembrance? may be left for her family in obituaries at www.olthof.com
