Martha Z. Dunbar

Of Elmira, NY, age 80, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 20, 2004 at the Buczek Home for Adults in Gillett, PA. She was born October 20, 1923 in Pine City, NY the daughter of the late Anthony and Catherine (Misichko) Zahorian Sr. Martha was predeceased by her loving husband, Russell Morris Dunbar Jr. November 21, 1980. She is also preceded in death by her twin brother, Anthony Zahorian Jr.; brothers, Peter and Stephen Zahorian; sisters, Mary Yakushow, Anna Schadael, Helen O?Neill and Catherine Schoch. She is survived by her beloved sons, Russell (Bonita) Dunbar III of Akron, IN; Gary Dunbar and Thomas Guline of Elmira, NY; dearly loved grandson, Ryan Dunbar of Akron, IN; devoted and much loved sisters, Veronica Gernert of Elmira, NY; Irene Passmore of Gillett, PA; Julia (Raymond) Jones of Pine City, NY; sister-in-law, Barbara Brown of Elmira, NY; Joann (William) Caloroso of Nichols, NY; brother-in-law, Francis Dunbar of Georgia; family member Kay Dunbar of New Mexico; along with many nieces and nephews. Martha was a member of the First United Church of Christ and lived for her card clubs. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Monday, August 23, 2004 from 1 to 3 PM. A Memorial Service celebrating Martha?s life and honoring her memory will be held there at the conclusion of the visitation. (3:00 PM) The Reverend Rolf Eschke will officiate. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family in the Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to a charity of one?s choice in her memory.
