Martha Joan Payne

Martha J. "Joanie" Payne, 83 of Elmira, NY passed away at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center on Thursday, June 9th, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Martha is predeceased by father, John E. Walker, Sr.; mother, Martha J. Walker; and son, Charles W. Payne. Martha is survived by her sisters, Judy Ameigh-Grover, Joanne Clarke and Jerry Curren; children, Charlene Martin, William J. (Victoria) Payne, Marlene (Glenn) Greenall and Ruth "Tiny" Payne; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; special friends, Ron and Joe; and faithful companions, Chaz and Caily. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her children. Martha loved to plant flowers in her garden and she also loved to dance. A graveside service celebrating Martha's life will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 12:00 PM.Martha's guestbook may be signed at www.olthof.com.
