Age 85 of Southport, NY, passed away at the Chemung County Nursing Facility, Monday, March 22nd, 2004. Mary was born February 15th, 1919 in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Gallo Cicconi. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Joseph L. Cecchini; son and daughter in law Thomas and Marsha Eagleson of Horseheads, NY; daughter and son in law Margaret Eagleson Hoy and Dr. Hugh J. Hoy of Elmira, NY and Sarasota, FL; stepsons and daughters in law Thomas and Nora Cecchini of Flint, MI; William and Sue Cecchini of Elmira, NY;10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; sister Rose D?Abbracci of Endicott, NY; brother and sister in law Raymond and Doris Cicconi of Houston, TX. She is also survived by several cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of close and caring friends.Mary is predeceased by her husband, John F. Eagleson, February 28th, 1957, brothers Salvatore, Leo, and Henry Cicconi, and sister Amelia Cassidy. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Thursday, March 25th, 2004 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 26th, 2004 10:00AM in St. Mary?s Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, NY. Father Pat Connor will officiate. Graveside committal prayers will be shared following the mass, in St. Peter and Paul?s Cemetery. Mary?s life was her home and family. She was a beautician in her home for over 50 years. She was a devoted communicate of St. Mary?s Church, and a member of the St. Mary?s Rosary and Altar Society. Mary enjoyed the countless hours she spent volunteering at St. Joseph?s Hospital. She loved her time at her cottage on Seneca Lake and the Watkins Glen area.
