Mary E. Davis

Davis, Mary Elaine (Ames) Age 63, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2015. She was the wife of Jon R. Davis, to whom she was married for 25 years. Mary was born on May 25, 1952 in Elmira, NY to John and Dorothy Ames. After graduating from Southside High School in 1970 and attending Mansfield University, she became a nurse. She cared for many over 30 years where she was admired for her warmth, grace, and personal touch. She is survived by her husband, Jon Davis; parents, John and Dorothy Ames; daughter, Kelly Caccia; four step-children; five grandchildren; and family and friends who charish the memory of Mary's grace and kindness that she shared every day with everyone she met. Calling hours will be held at St. Mary's Church, 224 Franklin Street, Elmira, NY on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 from 10AM - 11AM with Mass of Christian Burial there at 11AM. Father John DeSocio will officiate. Graveside services will follow at St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery.
