Of Pine City, NY and Zephyrhills, FL, passed away on Monday, October 23, 2012 at Bethany Manor. Mary is predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Harold R. Farmer, her brother, Gerald Sterling and her brother and sister-in-law, John William and Phyllis Sterling. She and Harold ran Farmers Roadside stand for many years and she also did catering and was known for her delicious food. Mary is survived by her family, sister-in-law, Mary Sterling; Uncle: William "Buster" Avery; Son: George (Joan) Farmer and their children, Edward Farmer, Wendy and Mark McDonald and Lori Peterson Farmer; daughter, Marilyn (Kenneth) Norman and their children, Jason and Rainya Mosher, Scott and Elizabeth Mosher and Matthew Mosher, Ken and Jen Norman, Kim and Jeff Ingram and Melissa and Mario Young; great grandchildren, Jenna (Josh) Farmer, Amy (Andrew) Farmer, Mikel Mosher, Krystofer Mosher, Maeryn Mosher, and Kai and Tobias Norman. Her newest great great grandson, Gavyn James Bennett; along with special friends, Mary Kay Brown and Linda Deming and many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Sunday, November 4th, 2012 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM. A Memorial service celebrating the life of Mary S. Famer will be held at the conclusion of the gathering hours at 3:00 PM. Memorial donations may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
