Mary M. Stenger

September 20, 1920 — March 26, 2014

Was born at home September, 20, 1920 in Troy, PA the daughter of the late Morton B. and Bertha (Benson) Hulslander, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at the age of 93. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles G. Moody, second husband, Ralph H. Ludwig Sr., third husband, Charles T. Stenger; along with several other family members. The last of her family, she leaves behind: daughter and son-in-law, Joyce (Moody) and Ronald L. Ripley of Elmira, NY; son, Charles B. Moody of Lake George, NY; step-daughter, Rosalie (Ludwig) and Frank Cox of Horseheads, NY; beloved grandchildren, Joseph P. Ripley, James T. (Kandy) Ripley, Mary L. Ripley, Dr. Erik (Heather) Moody and Emily (Moody) and Mo Charles; along with several other grandchildren, great grandchildren nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mary has been a faithful member of the Westside United Methodist Church since April 16, 1954. She enjoyed her gardening, bowling, golfing, playing cards and was an avid bird watcher. At her request there no be no prior calling hours. Family and friends will be invited to attend a Celebration of her life at the Westside United Methodist Church 743 West First Street Elmira, NY 14905. The Reverend Dr. Vincent Howell, Pastor will officiate. The date and time of Mary's celebration will be announced when those details are available. The family requests no flowers and wish memorial donations be directed in Mary's name to her church. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira/Southport, NY. Mary's guestbook may be signed in obituaries at www.olthof.com
