Age 81, formerly of Lormore Street, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2002 at AOMC Skilled Nursing after an extended illness. Gladys, born May 5, 1921, lived her entire life in Elmira. Daughter of the late Harry and Edith Kintz and widow of Lloyd S. Trimber, she was a devoted sister, wife and wonderful mother. As a talented amateur artist and writer, she volunteered her services for Girl Scouts, March of Dimes and other neighborhood activities. Always interested in the stars and space exploration, the discovery of ?George? remained a highlight in her life. Her curiosity never waned and she explored the human spiritual journey until the end. Gladys is survived by: her brother; Ronald (Laverne) Kintz, children; Lucinda (James) Denkenberger, John (Jennifer) Trimber, Virginia Borzellere, grandchildren; James (Michelle), Steven (Amy) and Matthew Denkenberger, Rachael, David, Elizabeth, Gillian and Emily Trimber, 4 adored great-grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY, on Friday, August 16, 2002 from 9am until 11am with the funeral service there at the conclusion of the calling hours. Interment will be held in the Woodlawn Cemetery immediately following the funeral service. Memories of Gladys may be shared by lighting a ?Candle of Remembrance? at www.olthof.com. To Stevie and the incredible staff on AOMC 4-D, you were Gladys? family and friends for many years and were there when we couldn?t be. Heartfelt thanks from everyone who loved her but especially, Cindy, John and Ginny.
