Maynard F. Congdon

Congdon, Maynard F., age 83 of Millerton, PA, "Mayor of Mosherville", passed away on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Green Home in Wellsboro, PA following declining health. He was born January 4, 1931. Maynard was son of the late Glenn and Myrtle Wheeler Congdon. Surviving Maynard is his wife Mary of 63 years. Also surviving are his 8 children, Maynard (Ginger) Congdon, Patricia (James) Knapp, Michael (Debra) Congdon, Richard (Carol) Congdon, James Congdon, Ronald Congdon, Lawrence (Julie) Congdon, and William (Lisa) Congdon and also survivng is his brother Nelson (Monty) Congdon, fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother Carlos Congdon, sister Doris Kennedy, and brother Donald Congdon. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Ave. Elmira, NY on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral and commital services will follow at the conclusion of the calling hours at 7:00 PM. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in the Jacob Miller Cemetery, Millerton, PA. Maynard loved trucking his whole life. His family was his greatest treasure. He was a devoted friend to many. His bright smile and strong handshake will never be forgotten.
