Merico â??Jim�? â??Jim�? Caccia

Age 92, of Elmira, NY went to be with The Lord, Friday, November 26, 2004 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. Jim was born in Mildred, PA on July 8, 1912, the son of the late Carlo and Esther Unti Caccia. He worked in the coal mines of Mildred, PA in his youth. Locally, Jim was a master mechanic who owned and operated local service stations and later worked for Lyman D. Gridley?s and Lease Way. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie F. Caccia of Elmira; two daughters, Joyce (Frank) Seidnitzer, of Hampton, VA, Gayle (Mel) Locke of Woodstock, GA; four sons, Robert of Tucson, AZ, Joel (Jackie) of Galton, PA, Jim (Kay) of Clearbrook, MN, Gary (Jeannie) of Horseheads, NY; brother, Freeman (Margie) of Luzerne, PA; sister, Mary Fairchild of Allentown, PA; 16 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Edwin A. Harrington, brothers, Jack Caccia, of Dushore, PA, Orlando Caccia of Hampton, VA, Richard Caccia and Rudolph Caccia of Wilkes-Barre, PA; and sister, Grace Sheaks of St. Mary?s OH.Family and friends are invited to call at Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Sunday, November 28, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 PM with Funeral Service there at 2:00 PM. The Reverend William Wells will officiate; interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Elmira.
