Michael A Eckert

Was born August 13, 1944 in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of James and Marion (Morey) Eckert passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center at the age of 63. His father, James, preceded Michael in death. He is survived by his mother, Marion; loving companion, JoAnn Fretz and her son, Tom Fretz; children, Dawn E. Eckert, Noel A. Eckert, Michael J. and Linda T. Eckert; along with several grandchildren. Michael was employed by Swift Transportation as a 48 state over the road truck driver. He enjoyed traveling the country and loved fishing. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in the First Baptist Church 121 west Church Street Elmira, NY on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 12:00 (noon). The Reverend Dennis Christiansen will celebrate Michaels service. Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be directed to the PDM Center c/o Dr. John McElligott 9135 Middle Pike Street Knoxville, TN 37923.
