Age 40, of Sagetown Rd., Pine City, NY passed away unexpectedly Friday, January 28, 2011. Mike was the son of Robert Farmer and his mother Donna whom passed away in 1999. He is survived by his loving wife Rhonda (Dininny) Gilbert of Pine City; his children that he cherished Nathan and Natalie; Father; Robert (Rose) Farmer of Millerton, Father and Mother in law; Richard and Sylvia Dininny of Pine City; Niece Amanda Dininny (fiancé Kimathi Arnold) of Elmira; Brother in law: Richard Dininny of Tucson, AZ; Sister in law: Julie Allington of TX; Nephew Cameron Ware; Cousins: Scott (Kim) Gilbert; Tim (Jen) Gilbert; Kimberly Gilbert (fiancé Dan); Uncles: Don (Sandy) Gilbert, Charlie (Lisa) Gilbert, Tim (Karen) Gilbert, Charles (Terri) Gilbert, Glen (Terri) Gilbert. Mike is predeceased by his mother Donna Farmer, Grandfather Don Gilbert, Grandmother Gloria Gilbert, and his best friend and constant companion Josh Long. Family and friends are invited to gather at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc. 1050 Pennsylvania Avenue, Elmira, NY Wednesday, February 2nd, 2011 from 12:00PM to 2:00PM and 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Funeral and committal services will be held at the conclusion of the gathering hours at 7:00PM. The Reverend William Vallett will officiate. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family at the Hanlon Hill Cemetery, Ridgebury, PA. Mike was a loving husband, father and friend. He loved his "two best dogs in the world." "Goldie and Bear" He loved his family and cherished great memories and times with his friends and family. For seventeen years Mike worked for Allen's Plumbing and Heating for the DeLosa family with whom he formed a strong family bond. For the past few years he has worked for Kimble Inc. and as a member of the Local #267 Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union. He graduated from the Journeyman apprentice program with Local #267 last spring. His incredible work ethic allowed him to excel in everything he wanted to accomplish in life, including building his dream home for his family. Mike was a kid at heart, always a happy, easy going person who was willing to help anyone who needed him.
