Michael R. Purvis

Age 43 of Horseheads, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 5, 2003 at home.Michael was predeceased by his mother, Marie (Sheets) Purvis and sister, Pamela Purvis.He is survived by his father, Richard Purvis; sister, Brenda and Eric Davies; nephew, Joseph Davies; niece, Renee Davies, all of Horseheads, NY; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Michael?s life was always giving to others, helping and volunteering when he could.He was a valued employee of the Chemung Housing Association in Elmira Heights.Family and friends are invited to call at the Olthof Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 Pennsylvania Ave., Elmira, NY on Tuesday, September 16, 2003 from 2 to 3 PM.A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 3 PM with John Knapp officiating.Graveside services will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 at 10 AM.Those wishing may leave a ?Candle of Remembrance? for the family at www.olthof.com.
