Myrtle Davis "Judy" Age 73 of Elmira, NY, went to be with Jesus on Monday, May 16, 2022. Judy was born on September 30, 1948 in Watertown, NY, the daughter of the late Howard W. and Beatrice E. (Dano) Samson. She is survived by her husband, Calvin; daughter, Karen E.; son, Michael; step-daughter, Kimberly; cousin, Debbie Martin of Florida; nieces, Colleen and Kelly; brother Curtis Samson of South Carolina. Judy was predeceased by her sisters, Audrey and Sandy. Judy was employed by Bomax, Watertown, NY and employed at Sears in Horseheads, NY for fourteen years. Judy was a loving mother, housewife, and friend. She loved baking cookies and taking great care of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her United Baptist Church family. Her hobbies were crocheting and doing word search. Her passion was writing poetry and reading her poems to her church family. She enjoyed demolition derbies at the fair. She loved to watch Andy Griffith and The Waltons. Not an exciting life, but a good one. She will be greatly missed. Thank you to the Bampas House in Corning. Friends are invited to call at the United Baptist Church, 300 E. Miller St., Elmira, NY on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM with Funeral and Committal Services there 3:30 PM. Rev.
